A year wrapped in love
As this year comes to a close, I’ve found myself thinking less about what was hard and more about what held us together. About the moments that mattered. About love, in all the ways it showed up—expected and unexpected.
For eight months, our world revolved around anticipation. Waiting. Dreaming. Imagining who Scarlet would be, what she’d look like, how she’d fit into our lives. Those months were filled with hope, tenderness, and a kind of quiet excitement that changes you. And then she arrived.
We were given five weeks with her—five precious, beautiful weeks that will live in our hearts forever. Weeks filled with love so deep it reshaped us. Time that reminded us how sacred presence is, how powerful connection can be, and how even the shortest chapters can leave the most lasting marks.
This year also reminded me how incredibly fortunate I am to be surrounded by people who show up.
My clients—so many of you continued to support my work even while carrying your own heavy loads. During a government shutdown. Through job losses. Financial uncertainty. Personal hardship. And still, you trusted me, encouraged me, believed in what I create. That kind of support is humbling beyond words. It’s not something I take lightly, and it’s something I’m endlessly grateful for.
And then there was the love—steady, surrounding, unwavering. Family. Friends. Community. People who checked in, sat with us, held space, sent messages, offered prayers, meals, hugs, and quiet understanding. Love that didn’t need explanations. Love that just was.
This year wasn’t defined by what we lost or what didn’t go as planned. It was defined by what we were given.
Time.
Connection.
Support.
Love.
As I close this chapter, I do so with a full heart. Carrying Scarlet with me. Carrying gratitude with me. Carrying the reminder that even in seasons that change us forever, there can still be so much goodness.
Thank you for being part of this year. Thank you for walking alongside us. Thank you for the love.
Here’s to holding onto what matters—and stepping into the next chapter with hope for a gentler 2026.
